Sometimes, you just need to make your own background. I love this stamp set because it allows you to do just that! With shadowed Night of Navy flowers, and jeweled Grapefruit Grove starbursts, this card really stands out. Add a little ribbon and it's just perfect!

Cut Whisper White 8 1/2 X 11 card stock down to 5 1/2 x 11.

Fold at 4 1/4th on the longest side, creating your card base

Ink the large flower stamp with Lovely Lipstick, them stamp it off on a scrap piece of paper. Then, with the ink lightened, stamp it on your card stock, trying to get it as centered as possible.

Take the smaller flower stamp and ink it in the Lovely Lipstick and stamp full inked over the first flower, giving it a layered look.

Ink the large stem and leaf stamp with Call Me Clover. Line it up with the flowers and stamp.

With the Night of Navy, stamp the 7 petaled flower randomly to create a back ground. After each time you stamp, slightly move the stamp down and restamp over the image already there, giving it a shadowed effect.

To get the background under the flower and stem, you'll have to mask them and then stamp. Take the larger flower and stamp it on a post it note, making sure when it's cut down, the adhesive will be attached. Fussy cut the post it note, to creat a mask. Do the same for the stem.

Adhere the masks to the flower and stems, and stamp over them, giving the impression that the tiny flowers are under the larger flower. Be sure to keep the masks for the starburst stamp as well.

With the small flower, stamp on a scrap piece of Whisper White in Pineapple Punch. Stamp as many as you need to make the pollen for your Night of Navy flowers.

Punch our the centers of the flowers with the circle/oval punch in the Bitty Blossoms Punch Pack. Adhere them on the Night of Navy flowers.

Now, you can stamp the starburst flower, using Grapefruit Grove (my new favorite color). Be sure to mask the flower and stem.

Add the medium dots from the Happiness Blooms Dots to the startburst flowers. I used the Lovely Lipstick dots, but you can choose your own color.

With the Tailored Tag Punch, punch out a background from the Happiness Blooms DSP for your oval saying. I used the blue dots for mine, but it's up to you which sheet you use.

I used a sentiment from the new stamp set Well Said for my card. Stamp it in Night of Navy on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. Using the Big Shot, with the magnetic base, cut out the saying with the Layering ovals dies. I used the second to the smallest for mine.

Adhere the oval to the tag, using the dimensionals. Now, place tag on card with dimensionals as well.

Cut 16" of the Calypso Coral Satin Ribbon and tie on the card. Trim edges to create a finished edge.
